When you have a corporate account this service is offered within a 15 miles of the Avalon office location. You may be offered this service it is not guaranteed and is subject to confirmed availability.

When enforced and current, CDW will cover the car you are driving for collision damage to the car. Your coverage may come with a deductible. It’s required that you report the damage on the report form you are provided. Cooperated with the investigation. Coverage is not valid for abuse or neglect and will be void. Such things as leaving the keys in the car and is lost or stolen, filling car with the improper fuel, act of God and terrorist acts are not covered.
Yes, but we will still need a security deposit on a major credit card.
A valid driver license and major credit card. An ATM debit card with a VISA/MASTERCARD logo is also acceptable. Check for restrictions.
Check to see if your personal or business car insurance covers you in a rental car. This will save you worry and money when asked “Do you want coverage?”. Some credit cards have rental car coverage, too. Your personal or corporate auto insurance may cover Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Loss Damage Waiver (LDW).
Can I purchase a Damage Waiver?
Avalon CDW coverage: When a customer pays for (CDW) Avalon car Rental Company will waive damages if damaged by accident, vandalism. This coverage is subject to a deductible and the terms of the contract. If the customer does not take out CDW or does not have other valid insurance they must pay to the rental company the full cost of repair or full value of the vehicle on the day of the car return. Abuse or neglect are not covered by CDW.
Yes, Avalon will negotiate a reduced rate for you that will secure your cost at the time of rental. The cost will depend on the car choice, the committed time period and any auto protection items you may need. Please Note: when you sign a contract for a negotiated term you are committing to that term in full. Should there be extenuating circumstances and you need to return the car before the agreed upon date, Avalon may consider an early return adjustment, however, this is not a guarantee. Avalon does not prorate. Therefore, a significant rate changes may apply. Please be sure you are able to commit to the time period signed for.

Roadside service is available 24 hours a day. Call our office during normal business hours or for after hours service, listen to our 24 hour message. It will direct you to the right help 24 hours a day.

Yes, we offer child safety, toddler and infant seats. Since there may be limited availability for these you should reserve these well in advance. There can be a fee up to $10 per day.
You must bring the car back with the same amount of gas that it states on your contract when you sign the rental agreement. You will pay more for gas at our facility.
Minimum age policies differ. Avalon does require renters to be at least 21 years old. Persons under 25 years of age will be charged an under age driver fee of $9.99 per day.
Yes, we accept all major credit cards, and debit cards with a Visa or Master Card logo ONLY. We DO NOT accept cash deposits.
You will need to list additional drivers on your contract at the time of pick up. If someone else drives the car without the rental car agency’s permission your contract will be void. For your protection, please add the driver to your contract before allowing them to drive.
Drop-off charges and extra fees may apply if a car is returned to a different location than where it was picked up. Check with a rental agent for any added expenses.
Please read over the information below carefully. There are several local bridges in the Bay Area, and although most of them have toll operators, some do not. The most often crossed bridge without toll collectors is the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
ALL BRIDGE NOTICES: As the vehicle renter, you are responsible for paying your bridge tolls, regardless of whether or not there is a toll collector. In order to make this process easier for you, we have enclosed the necessary information you need to pay your toll online for common areas. If you are in a different region when going over a toll crossing you must take care of the tolls on your own behalf. We are not responsible for late fees or cost incurred to clear up delinquent tickets. Bridges that do not have toll collectors require payment to be made within 48 hours of crossing the bridge, or else a toll collection notice will be sent out to the registered owner.
As the registered owner of your rental car, Avalon will receive the toll collection notice from any bridge that you cross. If the toll collection notice reaches our office, you will be charged a $25.00 processing fee in addition to the bridge toll. PLEASE BE SURE TO PAY YOUR TOLL USING THE INFORMATION PROVIDED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF CROSSING THE BRIDGE, OR YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TOLL ANY LATE FEES AND THE PROCESSING FEES. BAY AREA: The Golden Gate Bridge only collects tolls going Southbound. You can make a one-time payment within 48 hours of crossing the bridge at the link below:
You will need to enter your own email address to get a confirmation/receipt of payment. You will need to enter the license plate of the vehicle you are driving.
Under “Effective Date”, put the date that you crossed the bridge.
Under the “Payment Valid Date”, put the date that you are making your payment.
If you cross the bridge multiple times during your rental, you may follow this process every time you cross. The Golden Gate Bridge AUTOMATICALLY mails out invoices to us if payment is not made within 48 hours not all bridges do this, so this option may not work if you try to make a payment after 48 hours. Check the policy of tolls in your area. Note: The Golden Gate Bridge DOES NOT send us an invoice if you pay your toll online within 48 hours.
